Privacy for event photos: what your app must do

Uploading photos of friends and family is a responsibility. This is the minimum any tool should offer — including Rollo.

Members-only access

Photos must not be public by default. In Rollo, only invite-code holders join the roll; server rules block viewing others’ files before reveal.

No gallery access

The app uses its built-in camera for new shots only. It doesn’t scan or upload your existing Photos library — less risk, simpler privacy message for guests.

GDPR and rights

Clear privacy policy, lawful basis, and a way to request deletion. Rollo includes account deletion from the app and docs at privacy.
